Big Chompy Bird Hunting takes place in the Feldip Hills, southeast of Yanille. Rantz the ogre needs help making 'stabbers' (Ogre arrows) and hunting a Chompy bird to feed his kids, Fycie and Bugs. You'll learn to make Ogre arrows by fletching Achey Tree Logs with wolf bone tips and feathers. Then, using Ogre bellows obtained from Rantz's kids, you'll inflate swamp toads to use as bait, lure a Chompy bird, shoot it down with the Ogre bow (provided during the quest), and finally cook it with specific seasonings requested by the ogre family.

Is the combat difficult?

No, you only need to kill a Level 6 Chompy Bird, which is very easy. Killing Level 64 wolves for bones might require basic combat gear for lower levels.

What is Chompy bird hunting useful for?

Killing Chompy birds after the quest allows you to obtain Chompy bird hats (cosmetic rewards from Rantz based on kill count) and is required for the Western Provinces Diary.
