How long does Curse of the Empty Lord take?

This miniquest typically takes 30-60 minutes. The exact time depends on which sequence of ghost locations you get and your travel methods, especially for Wilderness locations.

What are the requirements?

You must have started Desert Treasure I (to obtain the Ring of Visibility) and completed The Restless Ghost. You also need 53 Thieving (required to start Desert Treasure, cannot be boosted). While not required to start, 31 Prayer may be needed to access one potential ghost location (Edgeville Monastery 2nd floor).

What items are needed?

You *must* have the Ring of visibility and a Ghostspeak amulet (or Morytania legs 2+ for non-Entrana locations). A knife or slash weapon is needed if the sequence takes you through the Lava Maze webs. Depending on your sequence and travel methods, teleport runes/items are highly recommended. Be aware that several potential ghost locations are in the Wilderness.

How do I know which sequence to follow?

The first ghost, Valdez (near Glarial's Tomb), will give you a hint about the next ghost's (Rennard) location (pirates/shipwreck, north-east, or south-east). This determines which of the three possible sequences of locations you must visit for the remaining ghosts.

What are the Ghostly Robes?

They are a cosmetic set of robes with minor Magic attack and Defence bonuses, notable for their ethereal appearance. Wearing the full set provides no weight.

Is the Wilderness travel dangerous?

Yes, several ghost locations are in multi-combat Wilderness areas up to level 56. Be aware of potential Player Killers. You can complete the Wilderness portions on F2P worlds (if applicable to the ghost location) for potentially reduced risk, though you'll still need members items equipped (Ring/Amulet).

Can Ironmen use this service?
