Gertrude's Cat is a Novice quest where you assist Gertrude, who lives west of Varrock, in finding her lost cat, Fluffs. After speaking to her sons, Shilop and Wilough, in Varrock Square (requiring a 100 coin payment for information), you learn Fluffs is at their 'secret playground' - the Varrock Lumber Yard. You'll need to coax Fluffs down by offering milk and a seasoned sardine. Upon hearing kittens, you must search nearby crates to find Fluffs' lost kitten, reunite them, and then return to Gertrude for your reward, including your own kitten.

How do I make a Seasoned Sardine?

Use Doogle leaves (found south of Gertrude's house) on a Raw sardine (caught via fishing or bought).

Is there any combat?

No, this quest involves no combat whatsoever.

How do I choose my kitten's colour?

Wear an activated Ring of Charos (a) when speaking to Gertrude to complete the quest. This will give you the option to choose the colour.

Can Ironmen use this service?

Yes. All required items (milk, sardine, leaves, coins) are easily obtainable by Ironmen without trading.

Are the cake and stew rewards important?

Yes, for Ironmen especially. The Chocolate cake is needed for 'A Tail of Two Cats' and the Stew is needed for 'The Queen of Thieves'. It's advised to save them.
