Animal Magnetism is a crucial members' quest started by speaking to Ava in Draynor Manor (behind a 'secret' bookcase). Ava needs help fixing her experimental device. This involves several steps: convincing the ghost of a Crone in Port Phasmatys to enchant a Ghostspeak amulet (requiring Ecto-tokens), finding two Undead Chickens, getting Turael in Burthorpe to bless a Mithril axe to cut Undead twigs, and having a Witch craft special bar magnets using Polished buttons. Completing these tasks allows Ava to create either Ava's Attractor (below 50 Ranged) or Ava's Accumulator (50+ Ranged), devices that automatically retrieve most arrows/bolts fired.

What items are needed for Animal Magnetism?

You need a Ghostspeak amulet, 20 Ecto-tokens (or materials to make them: 4 bones, 4 pots, 4 buckets), 5 Iron bars, a Hammer, a Mithril axe, a Holy symbol, Hard leather, and Polished buttons. Our service can gather/acquire these if needed.

Is Ava's device really that important?

Yes, Ava's Attractor/Accumulator is considered essential for anyone training Ranged. It automatically picks up the vast majority of arrows/bolts fired (except when blocked by scenery), saving significant money and hassle.

What's the difference between Attractor and Accumulator?

You receive the Attractor if your Ranged level is below 50, and the Accumulator if it's 50 or higher. The Accumulator has slightly better Ranged attack bonus and can retrieve up to Steel arrows. You can upgrade the Attractor to an Accumulator later by talking to Ava with 75 steel arrows (post-quest).

Can Ironmen use this service?
