Starting at a campsite south of the Kebos Lowlands lizardman settlement, you discover Kasonde's journal about an ancient race, the Old Ones. You explore four interconnected dungeons beneath the Kebos region (initial camp, Lake Molch Island, Xeric's Shrine, Ruins of Morra), finding stone tablets and wood carvings. By deciphering the carvings and context clues, you gradually translate the Old Ones' language, uncovering their history related to soul transference and a garden of death. There is no combat involved.

A pair of Secateurs (or Magic secateurs) are required. These can be obtained during the quest start if you don't have them. Antipoison and stamina potions are recommended due to travel near lizardmen.

Is there any combat?

No, there are no enemies to defeat within the quest itself. However, accessing the starting area may involve passing aggressive lizardmen.

How does the translation work?

You find wood carvings depicting objects/concepts alongside words. By inspecting these and using context clues from notes and tablets, you fill in translations in an interface. Only one correct translation per word is needed to progress.

Are the skill requirements boostable?

The 20 Farming requirement is needed to start the quest and cannot be boosted.
