About Ghosts Ahoy

Ghosts Ahoy begins in Port Phasmatys with Velorina, who wishes for the ghosts to be able to pass on. This requires confronting the reluctant Necrovarus at the Ectofuntus. After he refuses, Velorina directs you to an Old Crone near the Slayer Tower. Aided by Nettle tea, the Crone reveals a plan: enchant a Ghostspeak amulet using Necrovarus's ritual book (the Book of Haricanto, found via a treasure map obtained from an Old Man on a nearby wrecked ship after returning his Model Ship) and translation manual (obtained from Ak-Haranu by getting Robin's signature via a game of Rune-Draw). You must also disguise yourself as a ghost using a slime-dyed Bedsheet (obtained from the Ghost Innkeeper) to gather signatures for a petition, which distracts Necrovarus, allowing you to steal his Robes. Returning these items to the Old Crone empowers the amulet, allowing you to command Necrovarus and free the ghosts.

How long does Ghosts Ahoy take?

Around 45-60 minutes. It involves obtaining Ecto-tokens, fetching items, finding map pieces, a small boss fight, gathering signatures, and traveling between several Morytania locations.

What items are needed to start?

A Ghostspeak amulet and Ecto-tokens are needed to enter Port Phasmatys initially. Other items needed throughout include ~400 Coins, Bucket of milk, Silk, 3 types of dye, Spade, Oak longbow, Knife, Needle, Thread, Bucket of slime, Nettle tea ingredients (or pre-made tea), and Combat gear for a level 32 Giant Lobster.

How many Ecto-tokens are required?

Initially 2 to enter Port Phasmatys. 25 to travel to Dragontooth Island (10 with Ring of Charos(a)). You may need a few more if asking certain ghosts for petition signatures. Making ~35 tokens beforehand is safe, or use charter ships initially.

How is the Giant Lobster fight?

It's a Level 32 monster encountered when searching a chest on the wrecked ship. It's weak and can be safespotted easily.

What is the Ectophial?

A reusable, one-click teleport item that takes you directly to the Ectofuntus. It refills automatically when used.
