FAQ's: OSRS Making History Service

How long does Making History take?

Approximately 20-30 minutes. It involves speaking to several NPCs across different locations (Ardougne, Castle Wars area, Port Phasmatys, Rellekka) and fetching items/information.

What items are needed?

Spade, Sapphire amulet, Ghostspeak amulet (or Morytania legs 2+), means to enter Port Phasmatys (Ecto-tokens, Charter Ship fee, or completed Ghosts Ahoy). The Enchanted key and historical scrolls are obtained during the quest.

Are there skill requirements?

No skill levels are required to start or complete the quest actions, beyond those needed for prerequisite quests like Priest in Peril (for Morytania access).

How does the Enchanted Key work?

During the quest, it guides you to a specific chest near Castle Wars. After the quest, talking to Jorral starts the Enchanted Key miniquest, allowing you to use the key repeatedly to find buried treasure chests around Gielinor based on its temperature.

Is Dron's quiz difficult?

It requires knowing specific details about Dron learned from his brother Blanin. If you answer incorrectly, the conversation ends, and you must restart the quiz with Dron.

Can Ironmen use this service?

Yes. Requires Crafting (24) to make the Sapphire amulet if not obtained otherwise, and potentially sourcing bones/pots/buckets for Ecto-tokens if Ghosts Ahoy isn't completed.
