About The Grand Tree

The Grand Tree is the first quest in the Gnome storyline. King Narnode Shareen in the Grand Tree asks for help as the tree is dying. You take a Bark sample to the sage Hazelmere (east of Yanille), who reveals Daconia rocks are the cause, obtained by someone using the King's seal. Reporting back, the King suspects no one, but directs you to Glough. After visiting Glough, the King informs you Glough has imprisoned a human suspect, Charlie. Charlie implicates Glough and mentions the Ship Yard on Karamja (password: Ka-Lu-Min). The King helps you escape via Gnome glider. At the Ship Yard, you confront the foreman (killing or convincing him) to get a Lumber order proving Glough's involvement. Returning (potentially via Femi at the Stronghold gate), the King still doubts. Charlie suggests Glough's girlfriend, Anita, who gives you a key to Glough's chest containing Invasion plans. The King finds twigs spelling TUZO (open) in Glough's house. Using these on pillars in Glough's watchtower (requires 25 Agility) reveals a trapdoor. Inside, Glough confronts you, summoning a Black demon (Level 172) to attack. After defeating the demon, you find the final Daconia rock in the roots and report to the King.
