Haunted Mine takes place in the Abandoned Mine south-west of Mort Myre Swamp. A Zealot near the entrance tells of the mine's haunting and the Salve crystals within. To explore fully, you first pickpocket the Zealot's Key. Enter the mine via a cart tunnel shortcut (requires 15 Agility) or the main entrance. Navigate the maze-like upper levels, avoiding aggressive Skeletal Miners and Possessed Pickaxes. On the fourth level, you must solve a complex mine cart puzzle using levers and a track map to transport a Glowing fungus (required for light later) to a specific exit point. Retrieve the fungus, then navigate further to a flooded section. Using the Zealot's Key on a water valve, power up a lift while racing a mischievous ghost. Descend into the final chamber, where you must defeat the ghost of Treus Dayth (Level 95), the mine's guardian, while dodging dangerous environmental hazards (moving carts, cranes, flying pickaxes). Finally, use a Chisel (35 Crafting required) on the crystal outcrop to obtain a Salve shard.

How long does Haunted Mine take?

Approximately 45 to 75 minutes. It involves complex mine navigation, puzzle solving (mine cart levers), and a difficult, environment-heavy boss fight.

What items are needed?

A Chisel and a Zealot's Key (pickpocketed from the Zealot outside). High-healing food, Prayer potions, combat potions, and good combat gear (Magic/Ranged recommended for boss) are essential for the Treus Dayth fight. A pickaxe is useful for a Morytania Diary task post-quest.

Are the skill requirements boostable?

Yes, the 35 Crafting needed to chip the Salve shard can be boosted. The 15 Agility to use the initial shortcut can also be boosted.

How hard is Treus Dayth?

Treus Dayth (Level 95) himself isn't exceptionally strong, but the fight is dangerous due to constant environmental damage from carts, cranes, and flying pickaxes. He frequently teleports, requiring stamina. Protect from Missiles helps mitigate pickaxe damage. Safespotting or using high-damage attacks quickly is advised.

What is the Salve Amulet useful for?

When worn, it increases the wearer's Attack and Strength by 15% (or 20% for the imbued/enchanted versions) against undead monsters, making it extremely valuable for Slayer tasks and bosses in undead locations like Morytania or the Forthos Dungeon.

Can Ironmen use this service?

Yes, but they MUST provide their own combat gear, food, and potions for the challenging boss fight. The Chisel can be found during the quest if not brought.
